Hi Everyone,

Today was our last delivery to the food bank for the season, and we donated 195 lbs of

beautiful apples (thanks Peggy), peppers,  tomatoes and winter squash.

Our total donation for the year amounted to an amazing 1,729 lbs. which was more than 600 lbs. over the previous year.   Many, many  thanks to all of you who worked so hard to achieve such a fine result.  The food bank salutes you - and so do I.

 Hi Everyone

We donated EXACTLY 300 lbs of mostly winter squash and Fran’s apples (plus a few peppers and tomatoes) to the food bank today.  Needless to say, our ‘weigher’ was pretty impressed.

Many thanks to Carol for carrying most of the heavy stuff.  My poor little Mini would have had to make at least three trips!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to Fran’s prolific apple trees and to Sheri’s ditto Asian pear tree, we were able to donate an impressive 142 lbs of gorgeous fruit and veggies to the food bank today.   I wish you could have heard all the oo’s and aa’s our load brought forth from all the people who came to take a look.   Heart warming, to say the least.   I was very happy to see Max, who some of you might remember.  He used to be in charge of the food bank farm and the gleaning project.  Looks exactly the same, but no beard!

Thanks in part to Peggy and her very prolific peach tree, today we were able to donate  131lbs of beautiful fruit and to the food bank.

Many, many thanks also to Carol who hauled more than half the load in her trusty people carrier.  Couldn’t have done it without your help, Carol.

  I dropped off 92lbs at the Food Bank early this morning of mostly cucumbers and summer squash that I've been picking and keeping in a cool place. Melanie contributed some of the same plus some nice tomatoes.   Fran

 Hi Everyone

Lovely to see all you beautiful, hardworking people again today.  And the garden looks absolutely gorgeous!

The guys at the food bank are happy to see that we are back at it once more.   For our first donation this year we hit the scales at a very respectable 36 lbs of the most delicious-looking beets, peas, cabbage, kale and lettuce!
