"Hi all – I brought 42 pounds of veggies to the food bank yesterday. And I think that yesterday may have been our last harvesting day at our place. There will be some squach, tomatoes, etc. but nothing really worthwhile for a full contingent of hard working laborers.  I will let you know how the garden develops.

 

And Fran is still harvesting on Monday.  See you there.

Hello Funny Farmers,

         Look what I found when I was tying up tomato branches yesterday: a bunch of  very ripe tomatoes were well hidden behind their leaves. I bet there's more out there, or should I say, 'in' there.

         So it's a good idea to prune tomato  leaves. Who knows what we'll find!!

"We donated 70 lbs of superlicious veggies to the food bank today.  Our total donation for the year to date is 682 lbs.  Not too sloppy for a dinky little operation like ours, eh?  Well done, everyone.  Interestingly, all our poundages for the same yearly timeframe are really close - 2014 (376), 2015 (574), 2016 (577). and 2017 (569).  I think the HUGE pea harvest make this year's total higher.

It's supposed to be in the 70's by Thursday.  Yeah!"

"We donated an astonishing 71 lbs of gorgeous lettuce and kale to the food bank today.

I saw a really enlightening documentary on CNN last night.  It is called American Jail and details some of the horrors visited upon our black, brown and poor, in the so-called justice system.
You can find a preview by googling it, and  my hope is that the whole thing is available somehow. 
Netflix maybe.  Everyone should see it.
Also check out Adam Foss.  He is a young (and gorgeous) black man who was a prosecutor for some years and then became an advocate for prison reform.  He has given a TED talk which I hope to be able to find.
